The Directors invite members to join us at our first gathering of the New Year, a banquet in honor of our co-founder and Commandeur, David Goldfarb. For this inaugural event, we will celebrate David’s joie de vivre at the iconic Chinese restaurant where the signature dish will be featured. Each member is requested to bring a bottle of their favorite Loire Valley wine - white, red, or sparkling, Sec, Demi, or Moelleux. A remarkable sensory experience will unfold as we sample a broad array of Mandarin delights paired with the kaleidoscopic flavors of the wines offered.

The Menu

Starters:
Mixed plate of a dumpling, spring roll, spare rib and bbq beef stick.

Entree:
Peking duck (each portion individually wrapped)
Beef with Chinese black mushrooms and bamboo shoots
Shrimp with garlic sauce
Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce
Sauteed homemade noodles with chicken and vegetables

Please notify us of any allergies or restrictions.
The cost of the banquet is all inclusive.

Bottles of wine contributed will be distributed communally.
Please include details of the bottle(s) you will bring when signing up, if possible, or subsequently by email. As wines are contributed, they will be listed below to assist others to “fill in the blanks” as they contemplate what to offer.

To guarantee everyone an opportunity to enjoy a representative selection, the bottle you bring may not be placed at your table. If you’re uncertain what to contribute, remember that RWM, Flatiron, and Chambers Street offer discounts to members, and their staff would be happy to recommend something appropriate.
